Once again, we’ll welcome the world to the Astor Theatre stage, with a lineup sure to delight. LITF is pleased to announce our lineup includes amateur theatre companies from around the globe; Egypt, Germany, Georgia, Wales, Slovakia, Poland, the United States and more. Joining them are three Nova Scotia companies, well- known to LITF patrons.
Also returning to LITF this year is Artistic Director Eva Moore. An accomplished actor, director, and producer, Eva helped conceive the idea of LITF in 1988 and played an instrumental part throughout the four-year process that culminated in 1992′s inaugural festival. Eva served as the Artistic Director at that event and at each subsequent festival until her departure in 2004. We welcome her back to the festival.
Joining Eva this year is Adjudicator James Sohre. Jim holds a BA in Applied Music (Vocal Performance), from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and an MA in Theatre from Tulsa University. Jim is the Chair of the International Committee of the American Association of Community Theatre, and travels extensively throughout the world, attending opera and theatre. He has directed and music-directed nearly 150 productions. Join Jim each morning during the festival for the ever popular Coffee Critiques.
Finally, don’t forget our infamous Nova Scotia hospitality! As always, the Festival Club will offer great entertainment, wonderful food and hospitality that; all second to none.
