International ORDU Children & Youth Theatre Festival
TOBAV (Turkish Theatre Opera and Ballet Members Foundation), with the purpose of spreading theater, opera and ballet culture, organizes festivals, workshops, and seminars by adopting the motto “YES TO ART”. One of the basic aims of our festivals, is to strengthen the knowledge and experimental cooperation among the young people who have different social and cultural point of views. We believe we need to improve the philosophy of art as a life style.
The 8th International Children and Youth Theater Festival in the city of Ordu will be held on 4 – 10 June, 2012 with the collaboration of the Ordu Municipality and TOBAV. If you are interested in our festival, we would like you to enclose a copy of a VCD/DVD, visuals (brochures and pictures) of your plays. The plays will be evaluated by an independent board of jurors working with TOBAV.
The total number of the members of the participating groups (including the technical staff) is limited to maximum 15. The accommodation, food, and travel expenses within Turkey will be covered by the festival committee. However, the participating groups will have to cover their own flight /export expenses.
Deadline for the applications will be March 1, 2012.
I am a travel agent in Singapore. I am trying to oganise for a school to visit and participate in the drama festival in Ordu. As we have more then 15 members in the group, kindly advise location of accomodation so that we can arrange accomodation for the rest of the members in similar location. Alternatively, please give us the rate for additional members.
Our international flight for Singapore lands in Istanbul, kindly advise if we should take a domestice flight to Samsun? As travel expenses within Turkey will be covered by the festival committee, does this mean that we disembark in Istanbul and the comittee will be there to welcome the guests?
