The Theatre Union of the Russian Federation and Russian Centre of International Association of Amateur Theatre (AITA) announce

the 14th international seminar
“THE STANISLAVSKY SYSTEM TODAY”

(Practical Training for Actors and Directors)
to be held on 21-28 of April, 2010
Venue: Moscow region

Theme: “A. Chekhov and K. Stanislavsky”

1. Acting Skills:

Basic elements of the education of actor in Stanislavsky system:

  • perception
  • action
  • happening
  • conflict
  • ensemble
  • Stage movement as an integral part of actor’s preparation in process of self-cultivation

2. Training for Directors:

  • director’s analysis of the play
  • proposed circumstances, starting event and their development as the element of creating the atmosphere of the performance
  • analysis of the A. Chekhov’s plays “Uncle Vanya” and “The Bear”

Classes are led by teachers of Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (RATI) of Moscow
Professor Mikhail Chumachenko and Associate Professor Oleg Snopkov.
Working languages are Russian and English.

Day of arrival to Moscow – 21st of April, 2010
Day of departure from Moscow – 28th of April, 2010
