It is with great sorrow that we have recieved the news about the death of Jens Halvdan Mosli. Jens Halvdan was for many years a central figure in the Norwegian amateur theatre world.
Jens Halvdan was a generous, fair and a decent person. He mastered being both an administrator and an actor. He gave of himself and shared his time generously with others.
At the start of the nineties, Jens Halvdan was the leader of the executive committee of HATS. In 1994 he became leader of the executive committee of the Norwegian amateur theatre council (NAT), a position he held for six years.
As a newly elected leader of NAT he did a great job, restoring the organization administratively and financially. With his generous, yet firm style, he was able to build bridges over large differences.
Jens Halvdan has left a permanent footprint. He earned great respect establishing Frifond, let alone establishing Dramas.
He was also on the board of NEATA – North European Amateur Theatre Alliance. He was elected the same year to represent the Nordic countries in AITA/IATA asbl, the International Amateur Theatre Association.
Jens Halvdan was for many years also a central motivating force in his local theatre environment. He was proud of his home town and many of us enjoyed his hospitality.
His family meant everything to him and he often talked proudly about his children.
The death of Jens Halvdan Moslis means that many people have lost a good friend and collaborator.
We hereby send our warmest thoughts to his live-
Rest in peace.
