In the evening, the children, volunteers and host parents gathered for the closing ceremony.
The AITA/IATA asbl World Festival of Children’s Theatre (WFCT) opened on Sunday 5 June. In front of the Stratford City Hall, Artistic Director Ron Dodson, General Director Steve Rae, the Mayor of Stratford Dan Mathieson and AITA/AITA asbl President Rob Van Genechten welcomed the delegates, thanked all the volunteers and declared the Festival open.
At THIS post below we announced that the application process to apply to perform at the World Festival of Children’s Theatre in June 2016 was open.
At the aita/iata Forum in Ypres on 9 July 2015, Ron Dodson, Artistic Director of the Festival announced that the deadline by when applications to perform at the festival must be received is now 15 August 2015.
He delayed the date by two weeks after taking into consideration the views of Delegates attending the Festival.

You are invited to participate in the upcoming Play! A Symposium, 10 – 12 June 2016 in Stratford, Ontario, Canada. This two day event will effectively begin the International Amateur Theatre Association’s (aita/iata) 14th World Festival of Children’s Theatre, to be held for the first time in North America in scenic Stratford, Ontario, from 5 – 14 June 2016.
