Spots op West 201528 February 2015 is the deadline by when the Spots op West 2015 Secretariat must receive Delegate and Observer Forms so they can reserve rooms in the Novotel or Flanders Lodge in Ypres/Ieper. The deadline for the call for candidates for the AITA/IATA asbl posts of Vice President and English Speaking Secretary was 31 October 2014. The notice was sent out on 26 September 2014.

At the meeting of the aita/iata Council in Peligros, Spain on 14 and 15 November, it was agreed that one valid nomination had been received for each post. These were:

On behalf of the CEC Board and OPENDOEK (Belgium), let me inform you about the term of the next General Assembly of the CEC 2012 which will take place in Neerhof, Westouter (Heuvelland) in Flanders/Belgium from July, 4th (Wednesday) to July, 6th (Friday) 2012. At the same time there will be running a Theatre Festival “Spots op West” organized by OPENDOEK (July, 5–8).

Many thanks to OPENDOEK for hosting the General Assembly.

Westouter is a small village in the municipality of Heuvelland situated near Ieper, closed to the seaside and the French frontier, well known with its World War I memorials and fortresses. Westouter is situated 150 km from Brussels.


Wednesday 4 July

Welcome in Westouter (Belgium).

Thursday 5 July

10:00–13:00 Meeting – GA CEC part I


14:00–18:00 Meeting – GA CEC part II


20:00 Opening of the Theatre Festival Spots op west

Friday 6 July

9:30 Meeting – GA CEC part III (if needed) or Festival Spots op West


Saturday 7 & Sunday 8:  Festival continues

More information about conditions, accommodation etc. will be available very soon. OPENDOEK has very kindly booked some places in the village, so that there should be a comfortable accomodation for everybody.
