The German National Centre BDAT is proud to celebrate its 125th Anniversary.
The event is celebrated on its website with words of congratulation and support from many people from around the world including AITA/IATA President Rob Van Genechten.
The statements are led by Simon Isser, President of the Confederation of German Amateurs as follows:
Diversity characterizes us!
We would like to make this variety of theatrical forms, age groups, regions, dialects, origins, narrative forms and many more visible at our anniversary celebrations in Berlin, where the Association of German Amateurs (BDAT) was founded in 1892 as the “Association of Private Theater Societies in Germany” – has its origin.
I cordially invite all theater enthusiasts to the start of the anniversary season on the 12th May 2017 to the citadel Spandau and to 125 other lively, exciting theatertagen. In many places, our member associations and platforms will present a variety of performance formats and invite them to festivals, trainings and panel discussions. In particular, I would like to thank all those who, with their great voluntary commitment, Our theater culture and thus also our society!
